Drumstick Allium Bulbs

Drumstick Allium - Allium sphaerocephalon

Small egg-shaped flower heads that open green and deepen to crimson-purple as they mature, giving a group of them a two-tone effect through the season. The stems are slim enough to plant between established perennials without crowding them. A strong performer for bees and other pollinators.

Most effective in the ground in loose drifts of 25 or more, threaded through grasses and later perennials. The heads are small, so a handful on its own tends to get lost.

Toxic to cats and dogs if eaten.
