English Bluebell Bulbs

English Bluebell - Hyacinthoides non-scripta

Our native bluebell, with narrow deep violet flowers held along one side of a stem that curves over at the tip. It is strongly scented, which is the main thing that sets it apart from the Spanish bluebell. Best planted in shade under trees, where it spreads on its own and comes back each year.

Plant in the ground in groups of 25 or more under trees or in a shady border, where they will naturalise over the years. They need space to spread and are not suited to pots.

Toxic to cats and dogs if eaten.
