Harlequin Flower Bulbs

Harlequin Flower - Sparaxis

Flat open flowers in strong reds, oranges, pinks and yellows, each with a dark centre ringed in black and gold. They come from South Africa, so they need sun and shelter and won't survive a wet winter outdoors in most of the UK. Grown in pots they can be moved somewhere protected once the flowers are over.

Not fully hardy, so the safest option is 15–20 in a 30cm pot kept frost-free over winter. In mild, sheltered gardens, plant groups of 20 or more in a warm, well-drained border.

Best kept away from pets, as toxicity is not well established.
